"The celebration of youth. For me, that topic was very hard to depict through my art. Many presume the essence of youth to be energetic and to look young. In fact a Google definition says so. But, for me youth is not fleeting or a period of life everyone passes through, its always there, inside each and every person. Youth for me is a phase of rebellion, impulses and if not a lot then still a considerable no of mistakes; mistakes from which you learn; which eventually mellows out but never actually goes away. It's a part of you. It takes part in every decision you make for yourself. It's there when you decide to drink something cold in the dead end of winters and it's there when you decide to go out at midnight just for a walk. In this drawing I wanted to present youth as something which gives you strength and courage but at the same time doesn't make you invincible. A butterfly is very fragile yet beautiful, and a fist in drawings encompasses strength. And that is youth for me. Something which makes you feel like you're above everyone yet at the same time makes you feel very small because you can't wait to grow up and be called an adult. Yet, even adults make mistakes sometimes. It's what makes you human. Learning from them is something humans still find trouble with but we move on nonetheless. Your feelings are on an high and you feel as if you can take over the world. And that feeling should never go away no matter who you are or where you are in life."
