“Who am I? I have always struggled with answering this question. For me, it’s easy to answer the question based on my personality. Sure, I can say that I’m an artist, an observer, a reader, and an extremely humorous person. But, if I were to answer the question based on my roots, I could never give an exact answer. So, when I heard that the theme for this arts festival was Identity, I knew exactly what I was going to create. I am proud to say that I was my own muse for this project.

The process of creating my 8 minute and 15-second film was a long and difficult journey. At first, I had the idea to tell my story, which was a sad google doc script at the time, by making a full animation video. However, after drawing the first clip, I had the foresight that I was not going to be able to finish my work on time. An interesting fact: It almost took me one WHOLE hour just to draw a 7-second animation. So, in the end, I decided to do a mix of animation and images. On average, I worked about 5 hours a day, but I found out that time really doesn’t matter when you are focused on doing something you love and enjoy! “
