Join us in the Arts Factory to see some of the amazing art submitted to our annual Art Festival and participate in some fun interactive activities by the Student Experience Team.

Ghanaian Beading

Create your own vibrant beaded bracelet in this activity that celebrates the cultural significance of traditional West African beads! In Ghana, beads often hold a variety of different meanings and symbolism for life’s biggest moments; from birth to naming ceremonies to weddings to death, there’s a fascinating story behind every one. Visit the Art Festival and learn about the history and significance of this art form as you create your own unique piece to take home.

Painting Pots

Go ahead and unleash your creativity in the pot painting workshop, where you’ll receive a mini clay pot and a plethora of acrylic paints that’ll help you transform a blank canvas into whatever your heart desires. Using this year's Art Festival theme of ‘Journey’ as inspiration, indulge in an exploration of your favourite designs and patterns as you let your imagination run wild!

Mandala Rock Painting

In this activity, you’ll discover the art of mindfulness and reconnect with your inner peace, using locally collected stones as your canvas! Go ahead and create stunning and soothing mandala designs on a blank slate, with each stone being as unique and beautiful as nature itself. Regardless of whether you’re an experienced artist or an inquisitive beginner, this activity offers a relaxing way to craft a gorgeous piece inspired by your own personal journey. 

Collaborative Diamond Art 

This activity will allow everyone who steps foot in the Art Festival to be a part of something extraordinary! With this collaborative diamond art project, visitors throughout the day can contribute by placing a few dazzling gems onto the YFS-themed design, slowly transforming it into a stunning work of art that’ll be kept as a keepsake for years to come.
