Students (13-19 y.o)

Q1. How do I participate in YFS?

ANS:  YFS is an annual event organized for 13-19 year-old students each January by the International School of Zug and Luzern. YFS 2025 will take place on Friday, January 17, 2025.  If you wish to speak, perform or host a session, please contact yfs@iszl.ch for more information and to discuss opportunities.

Q2. How can I attend YFS?

ANS:  YFS is an annual event organized for 13-19 year-old students each January by the International School of Zug and Luzern. YFS 2025 will take place on Friday, January 17, 2025. Attendees must register through their school and registration will open the week of the forum.

Q3. Is there a fee or cost to attend YFS?

ANS: No, YFS is a free forum for registered participants.  Costs for transportation and accommodation are the responsibility of attendees.

Educators

Q1. How can I bring students to attend YFS?  

ANS:  If you are an educator interested in bringing students to YFS please contact yfs@iszl.ch to register your school’s information.  YFS sessions operate on a first-come first-serve basis as there are approximately 500 spaces for visiting school’s participants.  Schools typically bring cohorts between 10-25 students and smaller groups are welcome.

ANS: No, YFS is a free forum for registered participants.  Costs and organization of transportation and accommodation are the responsibility of attendees.

YFS 2025

Preparations are almost complete YFS 2025 has begun with over 135 students working on the forum.  The YFS Team is excited to announce that YFS 2025 is scheduled for Friday, January 17, 2025, and our eighth edition will return to be an in-person forum!

YFS 2025 will have over 1000 students from 29 schools participate with 57 leading changemakers from around the world.

YFS aims to be a zero-waste and carbon-neutral event. Please support us in our annual initiative by doing your part!

Lunch will be provided for purchase at the forum but unfortunately allergy limitations can not be guaranteed, so plan accordingly.

Registration:

All attendees must register to attend YFS 2025 and registration information will be done through the YFS website and will begin on Friday, January 10 at 4:00 pm and close on Wednesday, January 15 at 12:00 pm.  Most sessions will have limited capacity and will only be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
