As a senior at the Ecole d'Humanité, an international boarding school in Hasliberg Switzerland, I serve on the student council where I help shape school policy and function as a link between students and teachers. My background in and love for my home community in the Black Forest in southern Germany grounds me and has provided the foundation for my love of the outdoors in which I hike, ski, and camp, and which helped lead me to acquiring my hike leader certification with the Swiss Alpine Club. I am also the co-head of our school’s football program. I love to read about philosophy, especially stoicism, as well as politics and psychology.
