CLASSICAL YOUTH

“My art piece celebrates the flourishing youth of india. The dancing figure is used to represent an Indian classical dance form known as Bharatnatyam widely considered as the oldest dance around. It signifies expression, grace, purity, tenderness and growth. It is still followed by today’s youth to pave the path to a more profoundly connected way of life. The vision is to have every child experience the inspiration and mysticism embodied in Indian arts and heritage. The red hand on the other side is used to put forward the thought that music and dance breaks all the cultural barriers that surround our youth, bringing each performer and the audience to a common platform which dissolves the boundaries with regard to region, language, or religion. My art piece thus celebrates the holistic development of the classical youth of our country.”
