Jelena Laketić

Jelena Laketić is a Distinguished Engineer at Thomson Reuters, a global leader in providing trusted information and technology, across industries. She joined in March 2022 as the company’s first Distinguished Engineer and launched the Distinguished Engineer Program to recognize outstanding technologists and strengthen the company’s engineering culture.   At Thomson Reuters, Jelena drives innovation and leads strategic initiatives, including assessing and adopting AI pair programming tools, developing Engineering Excellence as a horizontal capability, and creating an annual global AI hackathon.   A detail-oriented engineering professional and strategic technologist with 24 years of experience, including 15 years at UBS in client experience, applied innovation, and strategy, Jelena has refined her technical, organizational, and leadership expertise.   Beyond technology, Jelena is passionate about enabling young minds and women’s empowerment, regardless of industry.
