Dr. Judith Bering

Dr. Judith Bering is an experienced orthopedic surgeon and trauma specialist, who has been the Lead Physician at the Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery Clinic at LUKS Lucerne since July 2022. She has extensive expertise in sports medicine, knee surgery, and traumatology. She serves as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the Swiss Olympics, overseeing multiple events such as the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG 2024) and the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF 2023), and is the team physician for Swiss Cycling and Swiss Handball.

Dr. Bering holds a medical degree from Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, with certifications in sports medicine, sports nutrition, and advanced surgery. She is an active member of several professional societies, including FMH, SGOT, and SEMS. Her work bridges elite sports and advanced trauma care, providing her with a unique perspective on athletic injury prevention, treatment, and recovery.

Fluent in German, English, French, and Italian, Dr. Bering combines her clinical expertise with a passion for supporting athletes at the highest levels of competition.
