Hanspeter Schöb

Hanspeter Schöb, 53 years old, married, father of two teenagers, grown up near Basel, studied molecular Biology (Bio II) and did a PhD in plant molecular (epi-)genetics at University of Basel. 13 years work experience as “wet lab” scientist in academia, and 17 years as Managing Director of the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology (IPMB) of the University of Zurich. Managing Director of the Botanical Museum of the University of Zurich during eight years. Long-standing experience in communicating research on crop plant domestication and genetic engineering to the public.
