Karen Timmins

Karen started her career as a Secondary Science School Teacher and then Head of Biology in the UK & Republic of Ireland. Karen joined the pharmaceutical industry in 2002 with Eli Lilly Ireland as a GP sales representative then latterly as a hospital representative. On moving back to the UK Karen joined Bristol Myers Squibb as a Senior Hospital Representative and Field Coach.

In 2008 Karen moved to Eli Lilly UK to start her marketing career. During her time at Lilly she worked with in-market and launched products, as well developing Key Opinion Leaders in the disease therapy areas of Urology and Neuroscience (including Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar and ADHD). During her time at Lilly Karen was also the Chair Person for the Lilly House Business Ethics Leadership Team, who were regarded by each of the functions based in the UK Basingstoke Head Office as role models in Business Ethics and Integrity.

Karen moved to Shire in 2011 as a Senior Product Manager to prepare for the launch of a new ADHD medication in the UK. Following the successful launch of the product Karen relocated to Zug, Switzerland with her family as an International Marketing Lead to develop the strategy for the portfolio of ADHD products and to prepare for future launches in countries outside of the US.
