Marco Borer

Marco Borer was born and raised in Switzerland, growing up in both German and French speaking parts. He did his master's degree in Economics and Computer Science at the University of Zurich and is currently engaged in an MAS of Wealth Management with the Universities of Rochester NY and Bern. He's married, has 3 children and loves all kind of sports activities like jogging, biking, ski and snowboarding.

His career started as a project manager for SBC bank in Switzerland in 1998. After a 2 years break to travel the world, Marco was active as a consultant in the financial industry before in 2006 he (re)joined UBS (who had in the meantime merged with SBC). Since then he spent many years in technology, where he was running global teams and programs and was the global IT account manager for UBS corporates & institutional clients business. In a shift of career Marco then started to build up innovation for UBS Global Wealth Management business and got engaged into many human / client centric activities as well as research and foresight topics.

Today he's a specialist for innovation and corporate transformation and is running projects co-designed with some of the very rich clients of UBS, always with the objective to create additional value not only for UBS but especially for the clients and potentially also partners involved. Data privacy topics are a constant companion as they are a key element in private banking.
